Oh. Oh. I was hyperventilating through last two parts, all right? This is fascinating, from the play of hidden emotions in court, to human Nimueh (legacy!), to the subtlety with which you're showing the alternate future that Arthur chose, to the friggin enormity of the situation as the powers shift.
The complexity and subtlety of Nimueh's curse is amazing, and I very much enjoy the fact that I have no idea how do you plan to play it out.
As I already said (I think? I am a bit dazed still after reading this), I love the silent battle for power between people in court as the situation unfolds, and how you show us the past and its impact on everything; your Uther is fantastic, by the way--I think he's generally a bit undervalued, in canon or otherwise (which may be the reason why nobody stopped him in time? Nobody believed that he has it in him to just change the whole history? sorry, I'm babbling a bit), and here he is a silent force we never see, but around which everything evolves. (Loved Morgana's moment at his tomb).
Also, the relationship between Arthur and Merlin--oh, my.
I'll be re-reading now happily to enjoy it to the fullest.
In short: this is AMAZING. As are you.
