Oh, [livejournal.com profile] piscaria, I am so excited to have you reading this! Thank you for taking the time to do so and for leaving feedback, which is lovely and generous of you.

I hope that RL demands have eased off a bit; I know that at the moment I'm balancing seeing my visiting family, finishing off a huge amount of work, and trying to push this out like one eventually forces out a smelly houseguest that's been there for fifteen months, no matter how much you love him. I'm sleeping about 2.7 hours a night, but it is worth it to have this done, and I'm thrilled you are enjoying it.

I'm glad you're enjoying the Uther/Arthur reign balance: it was initially something that was minor, but it eventually became a sort of backbone for the story, though there are fewer flashbacks in the story's final two sections. This is the heaviest because in my head it was all about Uther descending, Arthur ascending.

I'm happy you're enjoying Nimueh and Kilgharrah, whose name I stole from Wikipedia after S2 suddenly gave it to me, forcing me to do a 'Find and Replace' on my huge freaking file of a story. I'm also thrilled you're liking the Arthur/Merlin interaction, which I obsessed over (I loved the idea of getting to play with two more mature men who had reached some compromises but who were still are stubborn and still had room to change further, but I wanted to make sure they still felt like them).

It's also great to hear that the show of Merlin's power worked for you, because it was supposed to be sexy, the way all unfamiliar things can be. As for the competition, I hope you enjoy that, too--there's a twist to it which ties in to all the backstory in these first two parts, so I hope that works for you as well!

God, I'm giving spoilers for my own story. I am lame as hell.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave this detailed comment. It is flattering and lovely and really very generous of you. I appreciate it, and truly hope the rest of the story is something you enjoy.
