Oh, [livejournal.com profile] isweedan, you know, speaking to my beta about this once, she was like, "Political intrigue FTW!" and I was like, "Yeah. Or FOR THE LOSE, I guess."

This really took the 'court intrigue' part of the prompt and ran away with it (even away from me, I feel sometimes), but I suppose some part of me has always wanted to see an episode where Merlin and Arthur get to deal with the jar of molasses that real courts were probably like, instead of with a more convenient (but more exciting?) monster, and I have enjoyed writing it (even when it's been kicking my arse).

I'm so, so happy you're enjoying it, and that the dating system works for you--I truly appreciate that you took the time to comment; it is generous and lovely.
