[livejournal.com profile] syllic, I will never cease to be amazed by your characterization of every single person in every single thing you wrote. It's just--how do you do it? They are all full, living persons, with history, with feelings, everything. Really, you could write extended phone book and it would be fascinating.
Ganieda, who prefers to heal and protect to having power, and Norvel, Norvel who speaks with his shoulders, and stays quiet, and is such a perfect overlooked (I'm not sure if to say "abused"; I'm afraid his treatment was too popular to even count as an abuse...) servant right until he gets a chance to learn to read for himself, and... *hands*
Besides, I really, really like how you give us a look into a servants world with its own complications. And how Merlin and Gwen are in a way still in between the worlds, but practically already belong to the nobles' one. Actually, I kind of want to think about it more, but I think my brain already went to sleep, so.
Finally, because I don't even have the words, Merlin and Arthur's friendship balancing on the brim of something more. Ow. I know it's necessary, but it almost hurts to read, damn you Colgrevance. The shirt message! Merlin being unable to concentrate on anything that is not Arthur, and Gwen calling him on that! And how they all understand each other, the four of them. Good to see them having that friendship still.
Uh. Sorry for this verbal equivalent of flailing.
