This deserves more feedback than I could give now, sneakily, but just wanted to say that the whole atmosphere of change--in both times--is played wonderfully. I find the idea of all the undercurrent intrigues and yearning for magic--and openness, and justice, and perhaps compensation--bursting the dam with the hope after Uther's death chillingly realistic. Anything could happen now! Exciting.
Besides, you have no idea how happy I am that someone finally writes about the aftermath of Ygraine's death in court politics, and that that someone is you. :)
I can't wait to meet the genderswapped Cai. (Although I can't stop imagining her now as someone from Imirce, ou la Fille de la nature, and this is plainly wrong. I'm sorry!)
And I believe that I already mentioned it (er, two hundred times), but I love your Gwen.
Shallow PS.: Competent warlock! Merlin is hot as hell. :)
